New Portraits

I have been working to evolve as a shooter and to explore areas in photography that I have not had a chance to in a while. Videography has really taken over and I shoot short films and commercials mostly. That leaves little room for the classic picture taking which is why I got in this in the first place.
Mike Chavez introduced me to a website called 13th witness. The picture showed an advanced editing process that I liked. I didn't much care for all the subject matter but I do like the images. This fit in to a theme that I have been seeing in my own work that relates to the lack of post production knowledge. Most of my time has been spent behind the camera and I spend less and less time it seems behind the computer. This has resulted in a stagnation of post production skills.
I have set out to correct this trend by introducing an After Effects work flow in to my video post and also a stylized shooting method into my portrait photography.
